Cambodia-Australia Bilateral Cooperation Discussed

Phnom Penh: At the Friendship Building in Phnom Penh, Deputy Prime Minister Bin Chhin, head of the Council of Ministers, has received the Australian Ambassador Pablo Kang to discuss bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Australia.

In Friday’s meeting the Australian Ambassador updated the deputy minister about the Australian partnerships with Mekong countries in areas such as the economy, trade, investment and environmental cooperation. He also underscored Australia's scholarship provisions to support Cambodia's education and human resources.

Pablo Kang has also announced that Australia’s support for the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) will be of $2 million for this year and 2022. Deputy Prime Minister Bin Chhin thanked Australia’s Ambassador and is confident that bilateral cooperation between the two countries will continue to grow.
